General Labourer
ProTemps Professional Temporary Services recruits for many positions under the category of General Labour. These may include but are not limited to: production, packaging,order picking, inventory, warehouse, manufacturing, site clean up, demolition, landscaping and assembly line. Shifts vary greatly in this category and may entail working a traditional 8 hour shift or a rotating 10, 11 or 12 hour shift. We may have morning, afternoon, evening or midnight shifts available at any given time.
Key Competencies
- Good physical condition
- Knowledge of WHMIS Training, must pass all of our testing for working safely.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or be 18 years of age, with at least one prior job for a reference check

- Attention to detail especially in a production/manufacturing environment
Fork Lift
ProTemps Professional Temporary Services has many requests from various clients for Forklift, Counter Balance And Raymond Reach Operators. Most clients request a Certified Forklift Operator, however, not all do require the certification. A minimum of 6 months experience within a warehouse, shop or yard environment is an asset. As many of the companies we deal with run 24 hours a day and 7 days per week there are a variety of different shifts available including morning, afternoon, evening and midnight.
Forklift operators are required to move materials, load and unload shipping containers and truck trailers. Most forklift operators are also needed to physically move materials as well.
Key Competencies
- Good hand/eye coordination
- Working knowledge of a forklift
- Knowledge of WHMIS Training, must pass our safety testing procedures
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED an asset
- Current forklift operator's license (not mandatory at all clients)
Sample Primary Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently maneuver forklifts to transport materials between loading, unloading, processing and storage areas
- Organize and secure materials where boxes, pallets and other materials are stored
- Perform routine pre and post inspections on forklift equipment to ensure forklift equipment is operating well
- Weigh materials or products, record wight and other production data on tags or labels
Bilingual
Our clients generally require experienced Bilingual Professionals in the following disciplines: Customer Service, Reception, Administrative. All positions though our organization require a minimum of six months Canadian experience. Positions in this field may be temporary, contract or permanent. Most Bilingual positions through our firm require strong fluency in French, both written & verbal.
